We are seeking junior robotics engineers to focus on the design and implementation of software subsystems, testing, deployment, and life cycle support for an autonomous robot project. In particular you will be working on localization, obstacle detection, position and orientation tasks using lidar and cameras.


The candidate should have knowledge of software development, implementation and optimization. You should have experience with requirements-driven object oriented software design as well as implementation on real-world hardware and embedded systems. This candidate will work with robotic localization and mapping algorithms to develop mobile robots and demonstrate a willingness to learn more about these topics. You will participate in R&D programs through the entire lifecycle, from initial inception through production and maintenance phases. You will develop novel or updates to software algorithms related to perception systems and integrate that software into prototype systems.


  • 1+ year(s) experience working as a Software / Robotics Engineer

  • 1+ year(s) experience developing mobile robotic systems

  • Demonstrated ability to perform requirements-driven software design

  • Experience with real-time systems, hardware interfaces, and distributed architectures (system of systems)

  • Fluent in one or more object oriented programming languages (C++, python, java, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant degree and experience


  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study

  • Experience with Unix / Linux

  • Experience with software configuration management systems (git, svn, etc.)

  • Experience with commercial software deployment and support

  • Experience with lidar, computer vision, sensor fusion, probabilistic localization, point cloud processing, object tracking, simultaneous, and/or machine learning is a plus

  • 4+ years of experience in C++, Python or other programming language (Object-Oriented Software experience a plus)

  • Experience with Point Cloud Library (PCL) a plus

  • Experience with NVIDIA GPU hardware such as Jetson TX2 and Nano

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to learn

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible and creative thinking
